International Com'

In today’s society of big consummation, people are used to carefully choose between many productsthat the market has to offer. On revenge, companies are aware of this challenge, and based on their objectives and mission, they adapt their products to their respective choices/ strategies.
Companies know however, that if a product wants to sell itself, it needs to be able to communicate its attributes in packaging.
This tool has developed its importance over years, from being a simple safety part of the product, to an informational base and great advertising tool. Packaging represents an advertising campaign which is available 365 days per year, to every single consumer- current or prospective.
Packaging is an extremely important aspect of every product and every brand. It should to be adapted to the market needs and conditions, the customer’s preferences and status, while maintaining the brand’s name and value and creating a bond between the company and its consumers.
With today’s technological advancement, packaging and its design moves to a whole different – higher level every minute of every day. Informatics tools allow us to make of packaging a piece of modern art worth launching in galleries.
Large companies are aware of these attributes and strong impact and maintain their positions while constant development. Growing and being successful often means crossing barriers, expanding their borders and reaching for another challenge. Going international however doesn’t always necessarily mean thinking international.
Names, claims, shape of the package, ingredients of the product, legal constraints, price and other aspects to be taken to account can be forgiven or overseen.
Even if a certain product works successfully on an international level, can we actually say that it identifies itself with the country it is exported to?

To Ebook or not to Ebook that's the question !

In Class the other day our teacher asked us a very interesting question  :

Do you think you will one day use an Ebook ?

It was very surprising how everybody  answered   a BIG NO !

It’s funny how in a world where people all have mobile phone, internet, is on social network, follow their politics on twitter or other websites that the question of the use of Ebook is such a polemic and how one is attached to the tradition of a great book !

The emotion of opening a new book, the smell, the touch of the pages, we are so afraid that we will miss it.

But if you think about it for minutes you can easily figure out all the advantages we will find using an e-book. No more wait in your bag, the access to information in no time...

For sure 5 years from now we will all have an Ebook !!

You wanna bet ?

Step by Step to a good job Interview

During a job interview, you only get about 15 to 20 minutes to sell yourself as the perfect person for the position. So, you don't want to blow it. You want the interviewer to get to know your attitude, skills and experience. Follow these tips on how to behave on a first job interview.

Step 1: Show up for the job interview a little early. Being late is a bad first impression and can blow the job. Managers may think if you're late to the interview, you'll be an unreliable employee.

Step 2: Relate your answers to the specific company or interviewer. This will show that you've done your research.

Step 3: Use your body language to convey your confidence. Make eye contact and maintain good posture during the interview.

Step 4:  Speak professionally. Don't ramble or use slang in your answers.

Step 5: Stay positive during the interview. Avoid complaining or bad mouthing previous employers or companies.

Step 6: Ask the interviewer some questions about the position and the company. This is your chance to show off the fact that you've done some research.

Step 7: Send a thank you note afterward. This will show the manager that you really want to make a good impression. Thank them for taking the time to meet with you.

Now you have no excuses, go and get a JOB!

Guess What ?

I was really surprised in class a few day ago !

We discussed the Americans interest and orientations and guess what’s the most important and popular concern they have ?  HEALTH

How paradox is that as you must know they have the fates peoples you can see on the street!

America is the King of juke food and sodas and home delivery…

The more and more we discussed this subject, the more I’ve learned about the health system in the USA. Which is crazy expensive compare to the French system where health care is free.

With the amount of money an American have to pay to get healed and have a health care I totally get it now why it’s the most important concern. A family has actually to pay 3000 doll a month for it.

That’s so expensive!!!!  No wonder that many people cannot afford it.

I really hope that Barak Obama improve this system for the American!

Everybody should be allowed to get healed if needed !

What's new about Intenational Com'

People in the 21st century cannot survive without technology.

These past 5 years we can notice a lot of changes in the communication world:

Nowdays we want a lot of information but we don’t want to spend a lot of time to get them. Everything needs to go fast.

You don’t call your mum to make sure she is ok,  you just send her a text to see if everything is fine. No need to spend a lot of time on the phone with your friends to make plans,  just check your profilr on social network like facebook to know what’s going on.

That’s the way to communicate and if you don’t keep up with these new technologies you can easily be out of the game.We need to improve our technical skills everyday to be up to date to get jobs.

Tools on Internet are everyday improved to make our life easier. Internet is a virtual Agora you have to make your place in.

Internet and social network is one of today important communication change.

Every political figures need to use them to be closer to the people. For example, you can follow Barak Obama on twitter or post messages on Sarkozy facebook profile. Facebook in real life

Brand are getting global, they need to have an homogenate communication around the world that’s why we can see a lot of new ways to communicate such as:

-       Events taking place all around the world

-       TV show followed by people on the internet

-       Public relation

-       Advertising on the net

I think the biggest change is Internet,  I can not even think how people managed their life without it.

However it can also have bad consequences. You have to be careful on what you put online such as your resume, pictures, network profile because you can be juge on them.

Recruiters, human resources will go and check your web life before having an interview. You really have to manage yourself like a brand on the net !!!!

Focus on Twitter

Twitter is a privately funded startup with offices in the SoMA neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Started as a side project in March of 2006, Twitter has grown into a real-time short messaging service that works over multiple networks and devices.

In countries all around the world, people follow the sources most relevant to them and access information via Twitter as it happens—from breaking world news to updates from friends.

Simplicity has played an important role in Twitter's success. People are eager to connect with other people and Twitter makes that simple. Twitter asks one question, "What are you doing?" Answers must be under 140 characters in length and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web.

Twitter's core technology is a device agnostic message routing system with rudimentary social networking features. By accepting messages from sms, web, mobile web, instant message, or from third party API projects, Twitter makes it easy for folks to stay connected.

How to transform your weakness in strength?

We all have been told once in our life that we were too something, or not enough of something else right?

But if you think about those weakness people like your parents, teachers or even friends throw to you, you should really ask yourself:

Are they really a bad cartelistic of your personality or only strength in waiting?

That’s how I like to think about the things I have to address in my character.

To tell the truth I am really not patient, and I know that’s a bad point of my personality but I am working on it!

For instance I hate loosing time when I have sooo much better things to do then wait ! So to make this waiting acceptable I try to get the best out of , like:

 - Working on my respiration as my yoga teacher showed me (watch)

- Make mental "to do list" as I have a very good memory and I always loose paper work.

- Always have a nice book in my bag, just in case.

These are just some simple things to do, but it really helps me to be more patient and control myself !

You should try !

Do you speak ENGLISH?

What plan to improve my English ?

Well, there are a lot of ways to improve English right: learn grammar, vocabulary, and irregular verbs…

But when that's finally done what should we do ?

Here are some ideas:

1. Watch movie and TV show in English.

2. Try to read books even if they are not really intellectual, the aim is to try to see new word written.

3. When you learn a new word, write three different sentences including this word.

4. Go on the net, read international press or surf on blogs talking about things that interest you even if is about fashion or cars !

5. Practice as often as you can !

But the best way if you are really desperate, is to marry an English speaker, or at least have an affaire !

What about culture ?

I am about to leave for the USA in a couple of months to study at Winthrop University.
So I can't help  wondering about how  preparing myself for this amazing experience!

We all have an idea about this country and their habits, right ?

But what I really want to know before leaving is  :
How encountering a new culture in general ?

The more I think about this question, the easier it seems. I have lived abroad and I actually come from a multi cultural family already, so I guess I'll have to stay open minded and loose all the stereotype I know.
I have to let myself be surprised by this culture and leave my french Parisian habits at home !
It's a very exciting change in my life, and I am sure once there,  you just forget your habituals behavior and create new ones !

In order not to offend people, I should really ask maybe an American friend or a teacher how to behave in specific moments and learn more about this culture.

For instance : How do you act when someone introduce himself or a friend ?
As you know in France you just kiss the person on both cheeks.
The thing is, I don't think it would really be appropriate in the US. People could misunderstand my action and think I'm making a move.
How embarrassing, would that be!

Anyway I'll try to be natural in every day life interaction with others and wish they act the same way to me!
